Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church (MSMBC) Music Ministry goal is to sing praises to an omnipotent and sovereign God. Our goal is also meant to edify and admonish believers, and evangelize the lost.

The Music Ministry is one of the largest ministries within the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. We offer a number of opportunities to minister through music by singing or playing an instrument. All music ministry groups are open to everyone within the church. Here is a list of the current music groups and a little information about them.

Music is a part of the worship service at MSMBC and has been for many years. By utilizing the talents of singers and instrumentalists within the congregation and the community, the music ministry has presented a wide spectrum of musical styles from traditional to contemporary gospel.

Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir sings every first Sunday of the month at the 10:30 a.m. service. The Sanctuary choir rehearses at 7:30 p.m. the Tuesday before the 1st Sunday of every month. All are welcome to join.

Youth Choir
The Youth Choir sings every second Sunday of the mnonth at the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services The Youth Choir rehearses at 7:30 p.m. the Tuesday before the 2nd Sunday of the month. Youth through high school graduation are welcome to join.

Young Adult Choir
The Young Adult Choir sings every thir Sunday of the month at the 10:30 am service. The Young Adult Choir rehearses at 7:30 pm the Tuesday before the 3rd Sunday of every month. YOung Adults ages 18 to 40 re welcome to join.

Male Chorus
The Male Chorus sings every Sunday at the 8:00 am service except the second and fifth Sunday and every fourth Sunday at the 10:30 am service. The Male Chorus rehearses at 7:30 pm the Thursday before the 4th Sunday of every month. Membership is open to all men interested in singing.

Mission Choir
The Mission Choir sings every 5th Sunday at the 8:00 am and 10:30 am service. The Mission Choir rehearses at 7:30 pm the Tuesday before the 5th Sunday. Membership is open to allwomen ages 18 and over.
