Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church (MSMBC) Music Ministry goal is to sing praises to an omnipotent and sovereign God. Our goal is also meant to edify and admonish believers, and evangelize the lost.

The Music Ministry is one of the largest ministries within the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. We offer a number of opportunities to minister through music by singing or playing an instrument. All music ministry groups are open to everyone within the church. Here is a list of the current music groups and a little information about them.

Music is a part of the worship service at MSMBC and has been for many years. By utilizing the talents of singers and instrumentalists within the congregation and the community, the music ministry has presented a wide spectrum of musical styles from traditional to contemporary gospel.

Male Chorus
The Male Chorus sings at each Sunday early morning service at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. every fourth Sunday and special events throughout the year. The Male Chorus rehearsals start at 7:00 p.m. every Thursday in the sanctuary. Membership is open to all men interested in singing.

Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir sings at each 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning service. Rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary every Tuesday starting at 7:30 p.m. The sanctuary choir consists of soloist, musicians and singers. All are welcome to join.

Women's Chorus
The Women's Chorus sings every fifth Sunday at the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services. The Women Chorus rehearsals start at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday before the fifth Sunday in the sanctuary. Membership is open to all women interested in singing.

Mass Choir
The Mass Choir sings the first Sunday of every month at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services and special events throughout the year. The Mass Choir rehearsals start at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday before the first Sunday in the sanctuary. Membership is open to everyone interested in singing. If you want to join the Mass Choir, we would love to have you.

Youth Choir
The Youth Choir sings at each Second Sunday 10:30 a.m. morning service. Rehearsals are in the sanctuary every first Monday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The Youth Choir consists of musicians and singers. All youth are welcome.
