Deacon Ministry
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Mission:
To serve the members of the congregation by exercising love, hospitality, and care.
A Deacon is ordained to serve in the spirit of Matthew 23:11-12. Jesus said, "He that is greatest among you shall be your servant."
The deacon ministry is led by men who love the Lord and his people. They are involved in various ministries throughout the church in an effort to meet the physical and spirtual needs of the congregation under the direction and encouragement of the Pastor. They also assist the pastor in other areas of responsibility.
Our duties are to:
- Lead Devotion at various service times
- Serve as assistants to the Pastor (s)
- The Lord's Supper
- Visit the sick and shut-in
