The Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church Outreach Ministry was developed to help new members become acclimated and serve and assist existing members. It was also desgined to reach out to the saved as well as the unsaved in the surrounding community.
We do not want to lose any member, because of neglect or lack of encouragement or spirtual support from the Church. For Hebrew 10:25 says, "Forake not the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching".
Purpose:
- To serve new members as well as existing members
- Provide vital information needed to get members involved in a ministry
- Mail out birthday cards to new members and existing members
- Visit the sick and shut-in
- Visit potential members in the community
- Assist bereaved families
- Assist the elderly
- To distribute love tokens through out the community
Scriptural Guide:
If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
