Pastor Christopher Taylor,I Pastor Christopher Taylor, currently serves as Pastor of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church . He has been Pastor of this Church since 1992. The Lord has anointed him with the gift and talents of proclaiming God's Word through preaching and singing. To further his education, he attended Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas, where he obtained a Bachelors Degree. He also attended Southern Bible Institute - Dallas, TX, Bishop College - Dallas, TX, and Dodge City Junior College - Dodge City, KS. He has held ministerial positions at the following locations: College Hill Baptist Church - Texarkana, AR where he served as Pastor, Beth-Eden Baptist Church - Ft. Worth, TX as an Associate Minister, Concord Missionary Baptist Church - Dallas, TX - as an Associate Minister, and Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church - Bloomington, IL as an Associate Minister. Christopher Taylor, preached his first sermon, "The Trials of Faith" at the age of 17 in Bloomington, IL. As a child, he knew that God had placed a special anointing on him to reach souls for Christ. |
Through God's blessings, on Sunday afternoon, July 10, 1994, Christopher Taylor broke ground for the new 14,396 square foot sanctuary where he currently Pastors.To support his vision of "moving to a higher level", he is currently securing surrounding properties to construct a new family life center. Pastor Christopher Taylor wants Morning Star to be a sound church, a soul-winning church, one that's making a difference in the community. He wants to see the church grow spiritually, numerically and financially. The whole focus of this church is teaching. When people are not taught, and they don't have a strong foundation, they're vulnerable to every whim and doctrine. II Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to show thouself approved unto God; a workman that needeth not be ashamed, but rightly dividing the word of truth. He states, "You can't do that without a strong foundation". He is currently affiliated with the: National Baptist Convention of America, Inc., National Baptist Congress of America, Inc., Interdenominational Ministers Alliance of Dallas, TX, and 1st Vice Moderator of Northwestern District Association of Dallas, TX He is the father of three children and resides in Arlington, TX. |
